Changegun

Changegun began its life as a result of me cutting down on hitscanning enemies the popular consensus loathed. I made a Chaingunner which instead of being a hitscanner, fired visible rockets instead. Well, they're rockets in their implementation but really was just trying to do tracer bullets. I didn't like my first attempts and ended up going with bullets with a bit more "blast" to them. Really, they end up looking much more like plasma fire. I gave them a detonation sound in addition to the firing sound.

If I was going to have this monster, it was only fair that I gave the player the opportunity to obtain this chaingun upon Chuckie the Chaingunner's death. But because how bright the shots fired were, I took away the muzzle flash portion of the weapon's firing frames. It only made sense as the actual shots and the muzzle flash were clashing and confusing.

One operational note about the Changegun; shots fired from it, whether by the player or by Chuckie, have a random left-to-right variance of two degrees. Players who concentrate their play with super accuracy of shots thanks to reliance on crosshairs are going to hate this weapon!
